iheartfaces - water!

What a simply PERFECT theme for this time of year. I was so excited to go to the pool with my camera to get some picts of my little water baby. He has just the right mix of love and nervousness for water that it makes me feel pretty good about letting him be kind of independent. I know this photo isn't the best artistically, but it is totally real to life. AND, it shows the sheer joy of my little bundle of joy for the water he was in.

Saturday

Well, it's Saturday. It's a day to rest, relax, and enjoy time with each other.

HOWEVER, today I got up WAY too early (thanks to the extra-early-rising cowpoke), deep cleaned my bathroom, went grocery shopping (which I normally try to avoid like the plague on weekends), did about 87 loads of laundry, generally tidied all over and am now sitting on my bed typing this while my hubby and two of his (very helpful) friends are outside turning 3 of our trees into woodchips. Our front yard looks like maze built of branches and leaves. The sound of chainsaws has been the background music of my day (with the occasional resounding BOOM of a branch hitting the ground). I'm sure the little cowpoke would be having a blast out there if he wasn't tucked away in his crib (hopefully) dreaming sweet sweet dreams.

There is still so much I could do around the house but I'm tired and taking a break.

One thing I will do is inform you that from now on the little cowpoke will be refered to as "the little mister". I'm not sure what made me refrain from calling him that in the first place. That's been the nickname his Nonni gave him from the time we found out that he was in fact a little mister, as opposed to a little miss. I guess I thought it had to be cowboy related. But, everytime I typed little cowpoke it felt off. The little mister makes so much more sense.

Anyway, just thought you should know.

Nothing...

I think the reason I haven't been writing is because I simply feel I have nothing important to say. I'm no Pioneer Woman or Shawna from Styleberry Blog or even my ridiculously awesome cousin Kate who has been keeping it simple. I am fighting the insecurity of fearing that I have nothing to contribute to society.

My life is not uneventful. It's just not glamorous. It's not flashy.

It's normal.

Today we ordered in pizza and ate it in a messy kitchen and I have piles of laundry downstairs. Not to mention, a bathroom to clean and floors that desperately need vacuuming.

It's just normal.

I get inspiration in waves. Today I had an idea for a purse. But I haven't had a new idea in a while. I haven't had a photo shoot in a while. I haven't even had a chance to play with my new lens yet.

Life is just normal.

Ups and downs. I wake up too early, go to bed to late. I'm still waiting for 'someday' to show up.

Even Coop gets bored when life is too normal.

it's been a while

I told myself I wasn't going to let the blog go this time. I was going to stay on top of updating.

Well, it's summer... my gma died... give me a break.

So, for tonight, I'll leave you with this:

It's too hot outside to do anything fun so we're getting a little stir-crazy in the house.
