Project 52:39 Change is...

My family was here this weekend. It was great to see them and to have them see where we live.

I get the feeling they don’t love it here as much as we do.
After all, we live in a dirty, dusty, little mountain town.
We love it, but it’s a big change from the city.

Either way, it was great to see them.

My grandparents are so special to us.
They have supported us as a couple from day one. They pour into us and love us. It was great to see them.

And, then there is my mom.

She and I are able to just “be” in a way that we can’t with most people.
We laugh at the same silly things.
We sympathize with each other.
We “get” each other.

And, the way she loves my kids... it's amazing.

Man, I miss her.

Rainbow over Lake City.

Project 52:38 Change is...

Seriously, how lucky are we that we get to live here?

I'm blessed!

Evie's Dedication

During the week that my mom's whole side of the family was in WI celebrating my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary, we dedicated our Little Miss to the Lord. We desire to see her grow into a woman who loves the Lord, is kind and a servant, and brings God glory. Our goal is to raise her to be the woman God wants her to be. So, when better to make this public statement than at the anniversary celebration of the people who helped to guide us into the relationships with have with the Lord today?

It was a beautiful afternoon and we were surrounded by many of our family members who also lifted our Little Miss up in prayer.

Our Little Miss with us and both of her sets of Grandparents

Great-Grandpa Don and Great-Grandma Mary Ellen

Papa Scott and Nonni

Papa Eddy and Nana

Mama and Daddy

The whole Staff Family

My Uncle David who did the dedications.
Uncle David really looked into what it means to give a blessing to a child and had us all hold her while we prayed for her. It was so sweet to be so intentional in blessing her. I feel so grateful for family members who desire to do this for our children.

What a great day!

(not to mention, I'm super grateful for my awesome sister (Lizz of Wizbang Photography) who took these great photos for us)

Project 52:37 Change is...

Our 1 1/2 year old computer died.

When we bought it, we decided to buy what we could afford in order to not put anything on a credit card. We spent about $400 less than buying the computer I wanted.

We did not make the same mistake this time.

However, this time hurt.

And, that's all I'll say about that.

On a different note, our Little Miss turned 7 months old recently!

Oh, she melts me.

Jake really wanted to get in on the pictures. I'm so glad he did...

She is so much fun. She is going from sitting to rocking forward onto her knees and trying to lunge forward. She'll be crawling soon. Praise the Lord He provided a safe home for us to move into in November. I'll have no issues with her crawling around that home.  :)

The Little Mister has been so much fun lately, too. He really has a sweet heart. He loves his sister so much, too. It's just precious. I adore the way he treats her. He wants to play with her all the time.

They've even started taking tubbies together...

Ha!

Well, with how much I post on Facebook and Instagram now, I don't really remember what I've put on here and what I haven't so I'll leave it at this for now.

Just know that we are loving it here and are so glad God brought us to this place at this time.

Love ya,

Project 52:33 Oh man...

Sometimes, something changes and as much as you'd like to fix it, there's nothing you can do about it.

Shortly after arriving here in CO, our computer decided it didn't want to start up anymore. I got it back the night before we returned to WI for a family reunion. I've only just been able to do anything on it over the last few days and with getting unpacked and all settled in again, my time has been limited.

So, bear with me as I try to get photos edited and stories posted.

I'll get back to business here soon.

Promise  :)
