Project 52-8

I knew that he'd outgrow his hat someday. The hat we couldn't leave the house without. The hat he had to wear all the time... even when he was in his pajamas. The hat we put over winter hats when it was still too big.

Someday it would sit that high on the top of his head. Someday he'd be too big for it.

Someday happened.

Yet, he still wears it.

It might be time to go shopping.

How is my baby boy so big?!

(the real issue is that not only is his hat too small, but he's outgrown his boots, too! Yikes!!!)

She's here!

Today happens to be my due date with the Little Miss, however, she decided to show up early like her brother. They both came 11 days early! Isn't that a crazy coincidence?

Anyway, we are already in love with her and she fits in the family perfectly. I can't believe she wasn't part of us before now. She just is a perfect addition to us.

And now for some picts -

Project 52-7

I'm a day late, but for good reason:
This past Sunday our family of three became a family of four when the Little Miss showed up.

I could sit and watch her all day long.

She is snugly and delicious.

We have been enjoying adjusting to having another person in the house. The Little Mister is so sweet with her and asks to see her right when he wakes up. The other day she stretched and he walked over to her little outstretched fist and gave her a fist bump.  It was adorable.

Having another baby is a HUGE change, but it feels so natural.

More updates soon!

Project 52-6

He's growing up so fast. Everyday I'm surprised by the new things he can do and say.

And, he's funny! I've never had so much fun with a 2 year old! He's a great little person to spend my days with. I wouldn't trade these moments for anything in the world.

So, while I still had some energy (the last few weeks of this pregnancy are exhausting!), we made cookies for Valentine's Day. He loves to pull a chair up to the counter whenever I'm cooking or baking. He helps by pouring things in the bowl... and taste testing.  :)

I'm so proud to be his mom.

52-5 Change is...

The Little Mister was given a bunch of train sets and a beautiful train table for his 2nd birthday. He absolutely LOVES them. There are many times when we think he's sleeping and we go in to check on him only to find him being entertained by Thomas or Percy.

Hubby has seen it as his own personal challenge to make the coolest train sets possible for the Little Mister. There was a point when I literally could not walk into the Little Mister's room without stepping over/into a train set. The train sets change about once a week around here now.

And, they both really enjoy that time together.
