Project 52:17 Change is...

Honestly, lately the Little Mister's independence and attachment to my Hubby has made me a little sad. But yesterday we went to Monkey Joe's without Daddy. That meant that me and the Little Mister were on our own with all the bouncy houses. It was perfect. He happens to be at the perfect age where he wants to go in the bouncy houses but doesn't want to go in them alone. So, he and I got to have a BLAST climbing and bouncing and sliding. And, thankfully, Auntie Kris took my camera and snapped a few photos. (Thanks, Kris!)  We were sure sore and tired after several hours there, but it was wonderful!

Another big change that happened this week is that we brought Samson down from Green Bay to a place here so that when it's finally time to head west, we already have him here. He has had to adjust to being somewhere new. This is the first time he's somewhere other than Mary's since he was one month old! And, he's almost 5! We had to meet the new horses and get to know new policies. We also had to figure out which horses to put him in a pasture with and which ones he should stay away from.

It has all turned out ok.

We can't express our gratitude enough to Mary and curt for how they blessed us and Sam while he was with them, but we are so grateful for where God's taking us and how He's provideing for each step as we need to take them.

I hope you find yourself blessed today.

Project 52-16

Thanks to a little tip by Shawna, I realized that all the chocolate eating I was doing (can you say "hormones?") was probably contributing to the Little Miss' tummy troubles. This week I made the small change of eliminating chocolate from my diet. She is a completely different baby! No tummy rumbles, no bad gas, no difficulty pooping! She seems so much more comfortable!

It's a small change (and a DIFFICULT one for mom) but it's one I'm willing to stick with since I already see the results. The Little Miss is 2 months old and she slept 7 hours straight one night and 6 1/2 the next. I love it! And, we get to wake up to those huge smile you see in the picture. How could I not stay committed to this?

That's not to say it's not hard. I know this is kinda lame but I was REALLY craving chocolate yesterday. John's boss is right... I need to focus on how Jesus is better than chocolate and my child is worth it.

So far, so good!

Project 52:15

In 2 short months, she's changed so much. She's up about 4 pounds, quite a few inches, and her little personality is coming out. Her cries are changing. She talks like crazy. She's awake so much more often. She reacts to us, smiles at us, and melts our hearts daily.

But, being with her everyday makes it so that I don't notice the differences. I don't realize how great the changes are already. I don't want to forget the beginning, but I'm loving the right now.  :)

So, I'm off to be by here.

More later,

Project 52-14

Well, we've officially made the transition to my in-laws. The Hubby and one of his best friends drove all of our stuff out to CO to drop it off at our house (that we're renting) so we didn't have to also rent a storage space.

It feels like our move is far off but I'm guessing its closer than we think!

Here's some bonus photos:

This is how the Little Mister felt about daddy leaving.
